Preparing for another successful year

Paul outside Reception

Leaving & Junior Cert tuition, Study Skills classes and Adult Irish courses

Bookings have been ongoing since early July for our weekly after school and Saturday classes which the Study Centre at Mill Street will provide to 6th year, 5th year and to Junior Cert students from September 19th. Most subjects are offered with a good choice of times available especially at Leaving Cert level.  Leaving and 5th year study skills classes will commence from Wednesday September 26th and will run once per week for 4 weeks.

Also, a special Leaving Cert Irish course will get under way from Thursday, September 20th for mature students  who require a H4 or above to gain entry into a primary school teaching course.

The Study Centre has been around for over 34 years. Central to its success story is a team of highly motivated and experienced tutors who work hard and very effectively to maximise a student’s potential to obtain good grades. Their approach is creative and more importantly provides for a really enjoyable learning experience. It is an approach that has paid off every year in terms of top class Leaving Cert results.

In regard to this year’s results, Director of the Centre, Paul Lawless, is once again delighted with the positive feedback from students and very happy that so many have accomplished their goals and have got the points required for their courses. He maintains that the extra tuition that they have received throughout the year in addition to the teaching given in their own regular schools have combined to give them the knowledge, skills and confidence to attain some exceptional examination grades. An excellent standard in grades was achieved across all the subjects that were offered at the Centre during the year, including at least 95% of Study Centre Maths students obtaining the bonus points in this subject.
